American Visionary: John F. Kennedy’s Life and Times

This weekend I happened across an interesting exhibition currently on at the Penrith Regional Gallery & The Lewers Bequest on John F. Kennedy celebrating the 100th birthday of the 35th president of the United States.

This free exhibition (yes you read that right, free entry!) features the most exhaustively researched group of Kennedy photos ever assembled, the exhibition celebrates the life, political career and vision of one of Americans most admired and charismatic presidents.  On display is over 70 framed photographs culled from Getty Images, noted photo-journalist archives and Kennedy Presidential Library collections of over 36,000 images along with a selection of ephemera.

I don’t follow Australian politics let alone American, however this exhibition was interesting with beautiful imagery.  If you’re in the area I recommend that you attend and grab a bite to eat at the Lewers Cafe which never disappoints!

American Visionary: John F. Kennedy’s Life and Times runs 27 May – 20 August 2017
