ChromeFest, now in it’s 8th year, is a 3 day event celebrating classic American cars, hot rods, rock n roll, and rockabilly!
There is non-stop free entertainment, displays, market stalls, dance demonstraions and workshops, fashion parades and the all important Pinup Doll Competition but what draws most people are the cars which are on show. In particular the Show and Shine (arranged by Californian Cruisin Incorporated) features over 500 cars on display. It is expected that over 55,000 people will attend this weekends event which I believe makes it one of the largest vintage / car festivals within Australia.
Although it’s raining today, Chromefest doesn’t disappoint. Unfortunately some events on the stage shows seem to have been postponed or moved to other locations but it’s still a fun day out. If your near The Entrance this weekend pop on down and have a look around – hope to see you there!
