Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival, now in it’s second decade, is one of Australia’s largest vintage festivals, where visitors travel from every state or territory to take part in this 3-day event.
The Festival has something for all ages, with endless rock n’ roll music, a dancefloor full of people, best dressed & pin-up competitions, talent quests, classic car’s and plenty of free entertainment, ticked events and of course the stalls (can’t forget those!)
Most years my parents attend the Festival enjoying everything it has to offer and speak so highly about it that this year my family and I decided to head up and see for ourselves what the fuss was about.
We had an awesome time but were a little disappointed, probably from having to high expectations given my parents experiences. We thought Saturday would be the main Festival day but we were wrong (luckily, we returned) as Sunday was mad, people everywhere and more cars, stalls and stages with plenty of entertainment.
For me, one of the highlights was finding the most beautiful pin-up lingerie from Australian designer Desvalido.
We might not return every year but certainly would go again. A great weekend away!
