The Lady Luck Festival has been going strong since 2009. Last year we had a fabulous time even though it was a little wet, however, this year The Carrington Hotel pulled out all the stops and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!
Even though we were hard at work as a (Wild Lace) stallholder this year we took some time in the quiet periods to have a look in on the entertainment and the other stall offerings.
There was lots of fun and tunes to get people jiving on the floating dance floor where the Sydney Swing Katz performed a live show and a free dance lesson. A mobile bar for the adults and a jumping castle for the little ones.
The Show n’ Shine was impressive with many hot rods, rat rods and classic cars displayed down Katoomba Street.
There was a range of market stalls selling everything from fashion to records and The Boogie Bop Dames transforming the hair of many women into gorgeous vintage master pieces.
Now in its second year, the Miss Lady Luck and Little Miss Lady Luck contest drew a large crowd and we are proud to have sponsored the contest with a $50 Gift Voucher for one lucky winner!
After such a huge day, we were exhausted and after packing up the Wild Lace stall we headed into The Carrington Hotel for a well-deserved drink in their elegant sitting room and for a little people watching as people prepared excitedly for the ‘Diner and Dance Party’.
Next year, if your looking for a fun day affordable day out make sure you head to the Lady Luck Festival. In my opinion, this festival is one of the best around and it has a certain old-world charm that will keep us returning.
