So, what’s so special about the 1970’s?
The 1970’s is regarded as the most eclectic fashion decade when fashion broke the rules as day wear could be worn as evening wear and feminist politics challenged the trends and social ideologies. Fashion began with vintage bricolage and ended with hippy utopia when punk crashed through disco’s hedonism.
Super 70s looks at the fashion Melburnians wore during this iconic decade, whether you were rocking out at a Skyhooks or Sherbet concert, partying at shared house in Carlton or at a social gathering in South Yarra.
Some people would suggest 1970’s fashion is something they would like to forget. Come and see for yourself!
